Bonnie June Collins
Bonnie June Collins was born on October 19, 1928, in Mountain View, Ok to James and Effie Loyd. She passed away on June 14th at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City after suffering a massive stroke on June 7th. She was 89 years old. Throughout her life she lived in Oklahoma, Texas and Germany. For the last 20 years she resided in Hinton, Ok. She lived a wonderful life for God raising her daughters Donna Jo Wheeler of Hinton, Ok and Sandie Farmer of Forney, Tx. She also had a great impact on the lives of many other children which she considered her own. She made sure that all of the children she had an impact on knew God and the importance of family. She was one of the first women police officers in Tulsa, OK in the early 1950’s. In her spare time she loved to read, crochet and spend time with her loved ones.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, eight of her nine siblings, her husband and infant daughter.
She is survived by her two daughters and one son, seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
Her memorial service will be held on Saturday July 7, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Rogers Funeral Home in Henryetta, OK. The service will be officiated by Reverend Tom Clifton of Sickles Community Church. Services will be entrusted to Rogers Funeral Home in Henryetta, OK.
