Romilda Helen Weathers

Romilda Helen Weathers was born May 14, 1919 in Bridgeport, Oklahoma to Val and Pearl (Northrop) Seurer. She departed this world on Saturday October 31, 2020 at Maple Lawn Manor in Hydro, Oklahoma at the age of 101. Romilda grew up in Bridgeport and attended Bridgeport and Hinton schools. She married Wayne Weathers on April 3, 1939 and they lived on the farm west of Hinton. She worked at Louise’s Dress Shop, owned and operated Hinton florist and worked in the Hinton Tag Agency with Erma Burkhalter. After Wayne’s passing in 1966, she married Ed Robertson and he preceded her in death in 1979.

Elvin Ray Martin

Elvin Ray Martin, 77, died October 14, 2020 in OKC. He was born November 23, 1942 in Geary, OK to Eldon and Ruth (Andis) Martin. As a farmer and rancher, he enjoyed cutting horses, painting, and sculpting, and loved western and gospel music. Elvin was preceded in death by his parents and twin sister, Ellen Hall. Survivors include his loving wife, Ann; sons, Tommy Martin and wife Kim, and Jimmy Martin and wife Paige; daughter, Ruthann McCrary and husband Jeff; brother, Dwight Martin and wife Susan; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and family. Memorial services will be Saturday, October 24, 2:00pm at Lake Overholser Church of the Nazarene, Bethany, OK. Donald Gene Thiessen

Donald Gene Thiessen was born on May 24, 1939, in Hinton, OK to J.H. and Lorene Thiessen. Don departed this life on October 6, 2020 in Hinton, OK, at the age 81 after a long battle with COPD. He graduated from Hinton High School, Hinton, OK class of 1957 and from Southwestern State College, Weatherford, OK, with a Business Degree in Accounting. He married Evelyn Putcheck and the couple made their home on the golf course at Surrey Hills. He was employed by Kerr McGee in Oklahoma City as an oil and gas accountant. After retirement, Don returned to the family farm to assist with farming and ranching. His greatest joys were family, golf, and carpentry. He lived a rich and full life without regrets. His sense of humor and good nature were with him to the end, despite his difficult disease.

Lee Ellen Hood Heldermon was born January 21, 1945, at Geary, OK to Louis Giles Singleton Hood and Fern Berniece Nusz Hood. After her first few years, her dads work transferred him to Yukon, OK. They moved there when she was 5 years old. She attended school in Yukon, OK, until 8th grade. The family moved back to Geary when she was a freshman in high school. She graduated from Geary High School on May 10, 1963.
