As many Oklahomans are experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19, the federal Extra Help Program may be available for you if you are a Medicare beneficiary with limited income and resources. The Extra Help program assists qualified Medicare beneficiaries with out-of-pocket expenses associated with Medicare Part D prescription drug expenses.

We authorized funding for our defense community and addressed the atrocities by the Chinese government in Hong Kong. The Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on which I serve passed a number of important bills out of Committee to address issues including: supply chain problems from China, preparing for the next pandemic, stopping spying from China, improving security technology on America’s southwest border, improving telework for federal agencies, stopping unfunded mandates from federal agencies, and more.

Oklahoma Gas Prices Fall Slightly in State and Nation

OKLAHOMA - Oklahoma gas prices have fallen 1.7 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $1.87/g today, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 2,294 stations. Gas prices in Oklahoma are 1 cent per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 55.7 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.

New Offices Opened to Address MMIP Epidemic

OKLAHOMA - The national epidemic of missing and murdered Indigenous people is getting some help from the Federal Department of the Interior. It has announced the opening of offices across the country to handle cold cases involving Native peoples.

CYRIL - Two occupants of a vehicle believed to be fleeing authorities were injured in a serious accident and admitted to area hospitals. According to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 2020 Kia driven by 20-year-old Breanna Bothe of Norman was eastbound on the Bailey Turnpike southeast of Cyril about 6 p.m.
