Hinton Sees Increase in Sales Tax Revenue for the Month of May

The City of Hinton saw a $8,581.83 increase in sales tax revenue and net taxable sales for the month of May, according to an Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) report released earlier this week.

The May distribution of sales tax collections by the Oklahoma Tax Commission primarily represents local tax receipts from March business. Companies that remit more than $2,500 monthly in sales tax receipts are required to file and pay electronically. The monies they reported this period represent sales from March 16 to March 31 and estimated sales from April 1 to April 15.
