Spring Forward: The Facts [and A Few Myths] About Daylight Saving Time

Everyone in the United States will change clocks at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 11, for the end of Daylight Saving Time (DST). That along with Canada, and nine other territories will do the same on Sunday.

Americans will have darker mornings and lighter evenings because of the later sunrises and sunsets.

Most of the U.S. will be back to basking in an extra hour of daylight throughout the spring and summertime. But that’s coming to an end. On March 11, most Americans will set their clocks forward an hour, as daylight saving time (sometimes erroneously called daylight saving’s times) begins.
